Trump’s close circle, including Melania Trump, ask him to ‘gracefully’ concede defeat
There are reports that the people close to former President Donald Trump are asking him to leave the office without fuss and even his wife Melania Trump, is also a part of this.
The decision was finalized on November 7 and since then Trump has been ignoring the result and has been asking for recounting of votes. Trump had earlier questioned and doubted votings in Georgia and sources from inside the White House say that he still believes that he has won the elections.
One of the journalists from ABC news Jonathan Karl said, “Virtually everyone in his inner circle, his closest advisers, including his family members, is fully aware that this is over.” He further added that most of the people inside his close circle are convincing Trump to make a ‘graceful exit’.
The former first lady wants 74-year-old Trump to concede the defeat in a graceful manner. She is yet to make any official comment on the election results but it has been reported by the foreign media that she is very much involved in the process of making Trump realize his loss.
But it is not only her but his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is also trying to convince Trump. He was given the position of senior advisor in the administration of Donald Trump. But the campaign manager, Jason Miller, denies all such reports and says that in fact, Kushner wants Trump to take all the legal options available.
“The story is not true, Jared has advised DonaldTrump to pursue all available legal remedies to ensure accuracy,” said Miller.
Melania Trump also did not address the public but tweeted in favor of recounting and said that the American people deserve fair elections and every legal vote should be counted. Trump on the other hand has addressed reports of Biden’s win saying that he is rushing to be declared as the 46th President of the United States.
He added that the counting is far from over. He accused Biden of falsely claiming the victory and promised to fight the result in court.
Joe Biden was announced as the President-elect after he crossed the 270 marks making him the oldest person to take over the White House.
