“There’s Unexpectedly Few Ideal Models in Global Relations”
Hear me out as I share something that increases my curiosity about what I read today. It’s how the Ukrainian emergency has changed a few ideal models in global relations. Turkish-American relations are among them. There was an apparent weakening between these two NATO partners after Joe Biden's political race as US president.
Senator Frank Pallone, administrator of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, on Feb. 4 sent a letter to the State Department asking the Biden organization not to supply Turkey with F-16 warrior airplane and modernization units, because of its basic liberties infringement and the sending of the Russian-produced S-400 air guard framework.
Looking at it, In spite of cool relations between Biden and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the State Department answered that the likely offer of F-16s to Turkey would serve the two US and NATO security interests, especially following the Ukrainian emergency.
