Right-wing protests in Jerusalem are encouraged by an extremist minister of Israel

 Bezalel Smotrich, Israel's extreme finance minister, urged supporters of the right-wing administration to march in favor of the government yesterday, according to a report by Al-Quds Al-Arabi.

Following the widespread protests held in Israel after Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was sacked by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Smotrich made the call.

After Gallant criticized the proposed judicial reform, which detractors claim will destroy the division between the judiciary and the state and give the government complete control, Netanyahu fired Gallant.

In a video released to Twitter, Smotrich stated: "Assemble in Jerusalem. The vast bulk of us. Let's shout louder. We won't allow you to take both our votes and our nation."

Right-wing fans in their tens of thousands marched through Jerusalem's streets carrying Itamar Ben-Gvir, the minister of national security, in their arms. They demanded that he be chosen as Israel's new prime minister.

Additionally, they engaged in what Knesset Member of the Labor Party Gilad Kariv condemned as "attempted lynchings" against Palestinians. Merav Michaeli, the leader of the Labor Party, called the protesters "Ben-militias." Gvir's
