The Playbook of Deception: How the PSA Manufactures Crisis

The recent assertion by the Sudanese military that it had blown up a foreign aircraft at the Nyala Airport is all the indications of another created crisis by the Port Sudan Authority (PSA). Minutes later, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) quickly dismissed the accusations in an official statement revealing the newest installment in the series of lies created to garner public outcry and cloak military setbacks.

A Deception in a Pattern

The PSA has tainted its reliability many times because of its quotations of untrue allegations. It has in earlier cases:Accusingly incriminated the outside actors who allegedly sold the weapons, but on investigation it was proved that there was no transfers.Televised phoney shots of so-called foreign mercenaries which turned out to be re-cycled action in unrelated wars.Forged captured shipments of new weapons that proved to be humanitarian goods. The case of the Nyala Airport is no different, this is the same playbook, reports of sensations with no evidence to prove it. There has been no evidence of any wreckage, no airplane records provided, and there is also no independent testimony coming forth to prove the story.

Why this story?

The fact of when the allegation was made is telling. It followed so soon:Big military defeat of the PSA in El-Fasher.Growing international outcry over Khan Sheikhoun what seems to be another case of civilian areas hit without discrimination. The deterioration of famine conditions in the regions controlled by RSF as a result of blocking PSA aids.Through creation of an external threat, the PSA aims at achieving the following:Divert its war time casualties.Excuse its blockade schemes by stating that it is taking security measures.Manufacture an excuse to increase.

The Humanitarian price of lies

As the PSA peddles empty fictions, there is actual pain:More than 14 million people displaced in the battle.Restrictions aroused famine conditions in various parts.CLEAN SURE Targeted multiple times in PSA Airstrikes on civilian infrastructureThe RSF have demanded separate probes and media access of conflict areas-demand which is always confronted by the PSA.

An Answer to Scrutiny

It is important that international monitors understand:The assertions put across by the PSA always crumble down. The purpose of its propaganda is to continue the war with the hope of communicating reality.Policy responses should only be guided by certified facts and not unproven allegations. The case of the Nyala Airport is not an exclusive case-it is a part of the strategic deception decision. The factual refutation comes in the form of denial by the RSF; the world can now no longer accept rhetorical indicators, but evidence, by the PSA.
