Turkey backed rebel group aims at controlling Ain Issa

Tensions in Syria refuse to be toned down as Turkey-backed rebel groups keep on their violent acts in northern Syria. As per recent reports, one of the towns in northern Syria has been under severe attack from the rebel group.

There are chances of the Turkish invasion in the region if the activities of the Turkish backed rebel group continues its acts in the town. On Sunday too, the Syrian rebel fighters carried out artillery attacks on the Ain Issa, a town in the northern part of Syria.

But these attacks were not restricted to that region but extended to nearby villages as reported by the local news media. One of the Syrian-based news agencies reported that the last two weeks have seen a significant increase in the town.

The town of Ain Issa is at present controlled by Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces which is operating in partnership with the United States in supposedly controlling the growing control of the Islami State terror group.

It is a very crucial location in Syria as the town is located in a strategic location of M4 highway that connects the town with the western part of the country which is heavily affected by the ongoing dismissed war.

One of the reporters from the Syrian news agency to another news platform, “In addition to the town, a camp for internally displaced people has also been targeted several times by the armed groups.”

This left nearly nine of the civilians wounded which included two children. Turkey backs the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and considers it to be an extension of the SDF that operates in the region. The KWP is considered to be a terrorist organization designated by Ankara. Just last year, Ankara had launched an attack on the SDF fighters in Syria.

SDF was knocked out of position from Tel Abyan and Ras al-Ayn, the towns located north and the east of Ain Issa respectively. Turkey has been continuously building its border force near Syria and as per media reports, plans to convert a massive blueprint into action.

Even observes have confirmed that Turkish border forces plan to execute a large scale operation to capture the strategically important town and another area close to it. One Of the Syrian human rights officials has also confirmed the information saying that anything is possible at the moment.

A Syrian Observatory headed by Rami Abdulrahman gave a statement, the town has been witnessing bombardment almost on a daily basis.
