Elon Musk Warns Your Twitter Followers May Witness Big Dip

 The world’s richest person, Elon Musk, has warned that people may witness a drop in their follower count on Twitter as he is working on "purging a lot" of spam accounts on the social media platform.

On Thursday, Musk shared this information on his Twitter account. He wrote on his Twitter account, "Twitter is purging a lot of spam/scam accounts right now, so you may see your follower count drop."

Musk has also planned to increase Twitter's character limit from 280 to 1000. Musk wants to make changes on Twitter in order to boost the company. 

Earlier, tagged Musk and tweeted, "Idea on expanding character limit to 1000." Subsequently, Musk said, "It's on the to-do list." Last month, another user asked Musk to increase the social media platform's word limit from 280 to 420. Another user had suggested "getting rid of character limits."Musk also showed interest in increasing the character limit of tweets. 

Recently, Musk was in the limelight for sharing a picture of his table. Two guns and a Diet Coke were seen in the picture. The post raised many questions as people asked Musk whether he slept with these things at his table. Many social media users asked him if he keeps them close to him at night. People asked him whether he used guns or not. 

On 26 October, Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition deal with Twitter. Subsequently, he introduced various changes to the social media company. He made a list of things that he wanted to introduce to the company. 

Reportedly, top advertisers have pulled back from the social media platform amid concern over Twitter’s ability to tackle hate speech. Recently, Twitter also stopped taking action against tweets breaching its Covid rules. However, public health experts raised concerns about this decision. Experts also raised concerns about Twitter's ability to fight misinformation about Covid-19.
