An Islamic State

 The  Islamic State-IS is a group of jihadists who came to the knowledge of the world in the year 2014. They seized large territories in Syria and Iraq. IS become the center for its brutality, mass killings, kidnappings, and beheadings. Although the Muslim world has supported the group internationally, the US has vowed to destroy it with the help of its coalition.

What is the aim?

"caliphate" was established by the IS in 2014. They want a state ruled by God's deputy, or caliph, on earth according to Islamic law, or Sharia.

al-Samraray, Ibrahim Awad Ibrahim al-Badri, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the inspiration for it.

The IS aims to set supremacy in the world of jihadis, and they have a large network and branches of the rival al-Qaeda network.

The Islamic State wants to end all the barriers to restore the rule of God on earth. They want to protect the Muslim community, or ummah, against every non-Muslim.

That is the reason why the IS has welcomed the confrontation with the US-led coalition. They are seeing it as a harbinger of the end-time showdown between Muslims and their enemies described in Islamic prophecies.

What are the targets outside Iraq and Syria?

Once they captured Syria in 2014 and settled there, they started claiming other territories in the next year i.e., 2015. In Egypt, it shot down a Russian passenger plane over the Sinai Peninsula. And 288 more people died. The UK and US believed that a bomb was probably the cause of the crash – whether the bomber was linked to IS or not.

Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, is also the target of IS and the French have also come into it.

Why are they so cruel?

The IS members are Sunni Islam believers and they consider only Sunni as true Islam followers. They believe that the rest of the world and other religions is made up of unbelievers and they want to destroy Islam. They are defending Islam so by this statement they are justifying attacks against other Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

This group is known as ISIS, ISIL, Daesh, and IS too. Now many regions of the middle east are under it and support Shariya law.
