Johnny Depp and lawyer Joelle Rich's relationship reportedly not exclusive

Hollywood star Johnny Depp and his former lawyer Joelle Rich have no plans to settle down as an exclusive couple any time soon as the relationship may not be as serious as previously reported.

As per a TMZ report, they have been together since his defamation trial, but their relationship is reportedly not exclusive. One of the sources said that Johnny Depp was spotted getting cosy with another woman on the set of his upcoming movie in France. Another source said that Johnny and Joelle are not on the same page about the direction of their relationship.

Earlier, US Weekly broke the news that Johnny is dating his former lawyer Joelle. According to a source, Joelle, who did not work on Johnny's defamation case against Amber Heard, had no "professional" obligation to be present for the hearing in June. However, she attended the Virginia courtroom trial to show her "support" for the Hollywood actor.

Johnny sued his ex-wife, Amber, for defamation over a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post, where she wrote about being a survivor of domestic violence. Depp’s name wasn’t mentioned in the article, however, Depp’s lawyers argued that the article falsely implied she was sexually and physically abused by Johnny in their marriage. Later on, Amber countersued Johnny for $100 million in 2021.

The defamation trial ended in June this year. The judge in the Virginia court ordered Amber to pay USD 10 million in compensatory damages and USD 5 million in punitive damages to Johnny. Johnny was also ordered to pay USD 2 million to his ex-wife.

In July this year, the Virginia court rejected Amber's demand for a new trial in the defamation case. The judge also issued a written order denying Amber’s request for a new trial.

Earlier, Amber’s insurance company claimed that Johnny was willingly defamed by his ex-wife.
